Technical Team

The technical founders of LEAD levitataion melting team began developing levitation melting technology (LMT) in the late 20th century and has been deeply involved for more than 20 years. Since 2020, LEAD have been developing the third-generation LMT and industry.


LEAD has set up a talented and strong technical team, specializing in mechanics, electrics, control, metallurgy and material physics.


LEAD is the Developer of the third-generation technology. The technological breakthroughs achieved by LEAD include:

- Design the cold crucible with high levitation capacity;

- Achieved levitation melting temperatures exceeding 2600, 2800, 3100, and 3600 ℃;

- Developed levitation melting equipment with melting capacities exceeding 50kg, 100kg, and 150kg;

- Developed levitation melting equipment with various special functions.

Intellectual Property

LEAD levitation melting team has been granted 15 invention patents and 23 utility model patents, with over 20 currently under review.

Development Process

Start since the end of the 20th century. Over 20 years, the development of levitation melting industry has gone through three stages:


Phase 1: Technical Introduction -1998-2009

In the process of completing the national "Eighth Five Year Plan" research project —— the development of rare earth giant magnetostrictive alloys, a scientific research project was completed by developing the levitation melting technology(LMT) equipment, finally successfully provide magnetostrictive sonar components for the navy.

Realizing the importance of LMT for high-end materials, a research institute was established to promote this technology.


Phase 2: Industrial Initiation -2010-2017

In response to the requirements of the National Defense Nuclear Research Institute for melting “X”special alloys, the first enterprise specialized in developing LMT was established, which broke through the melting technology of “X” alloy that year.

At this stage, the equipment products are mainly in small and medium-sized specifications, and the market mainly faces research institutes and colleges.

At this stage, the equipment business is guided by the development of technology, thus achieving a domestically leading and internationally advanced technological level.


Phase 3: Starting from 2020, the third-generation LMT - the technology tends to mature, the business develops, and the market is cultivated.

LEAD team carry out the third phase of work in Ningbo in 2022.

At this stage, material production enterprises gradually become the biggest market for LMT, and developing third-generation technology has become the most important task.
